Storyline

Plot Summary:A member of a rich British aristocratic family, Lara Croft is a “tomb raider” who enjoys collecting ancient artifacts from ruins of temples, cities, etc. worldwide, and doesn’t mind going through death-defying dangers to get them. She is skilled in hand-to-hand combat, weapons training, and foreign languages – and does them all in tight outfits. Well, the planets of the solar system are going into planetary alignment (Which occurs every 5,000 years), and a secret society called the Illuminati is seeking an ancient talisman that gives its possessor the ability to control time. However, they need a certain clock/key to help them in their search, and they have to find the talisman in one week or wait until the next planetary alignment to find it again. Lara happens to find that key hidden in a wall of her mansion. The Illuminati steal it, and Lara gets an old letter from her deceased father telling her about the society’s agenda (Her father was also the one who hid the key). Now, she must retrieve the key and find and destroy the talisman before the Illuminati can get their hands on it.

Can all planets of the solar system and the Sun perfectly ever allign?
While watching the Movie "Lara Croft : Tomb Raider", I was wondering whether it is true that all the planets of the solar system and the Sun allign perfectly once in 5000 years as shown in the movie.

Who should the award for the most overrated female celebrity go to?
hmmm….My candidates include Adrienne Curry, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss and Beyonce Jolie got famous playing Lara Croft but I think Tia Carrere should’ve played Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider movies; for those who don’t know who she is, here’s a link http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000119/

Who is the strongest (enduring, resourceful) female you’ve ever seen portrayed on film?
I read a post on here that complained against females being portrayed at either one extreme as defenseless or as masculine and not too many females seem to like either extreme as it saps the feminity from them. I found that kind of interesting. Anyway the main focus of that complaint was with action films which is why I definitely sight some of the Disney films (Mulan, Beauty & the Beast, Pocahontas) as portraying females accurately with regards to how they think and feel and their motivation for certain things (like how Mulan joined the army to protect her father rather than to prove her bravado to the men). Oh like how Pocahontas risked her life to protect John and show her father than hatred only destroys the humanity in people. It doesn’t help anyone. Another strong female character I like noting is Ronnie (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) from the film Menace II Society whom was a very caring mother although she lived in a neighborhood where satisfying anger thru murder was the rule and not the exception. She served as the one bright spot in that dark world of Jordan Downs. So yeah I think it is important to take note of these things. Just want to know what everyone else thinks regarding who the most resource female is on screen in any film (cartoon/live action) whom retained her femininity while still proving courageous in the face of difficulties. When it comes to action films I was also wondering which heroine people thought was portrayed most strongly without disrespect to the gender qualities: Trinity (Matrix, Reloaded), Sarah Conner (Terminator, T2), Lara Croft (Tomb Raider, Cradle of Life), Ellen Ripley (Aliens, Alien). I was wondering also of these four women which most people think was portrayed as courageous while still being empathetic and caring: Croft, Conner, Trinity, or Ripley.
